How To Pay Your Service Charge

How to pay your service charges

Please ensure that your payment reference number is clearly quoted when making payments.

By Direct Debit

Choose your payment date, either 15 or 28 of each month, and return the form to us at:

We must receive your form one month before the payment date, in order for us to set up your direct debit and inform your bank/building society. If we do not receive your direct debit form in time you will have to make the first payment by one of the following methods. We will tell you if this happens.

Over the internet You can make an online payment here

Over the phone
You can pay over the phone using a debit or credit card by calling 020 8430 3500. Follow automated instructions selecting option 2 then "Central Income" from the list of options. Please have the invoice number, debit or credit card number and the expiry date to hand. An answer machine service is available from 8pm to 8am.

By standing order If you want to pay by standing order, you will need our bank details,

Debt and welfare advice

Officers from Newham Homes cannot act as financial advisors. Although we can provide you with advice and support to help you meet your financial obligations, you are also encouraged to seek independent professional advice.

Leaseholders have a dedicated debt and welfare advisor who provides general advice. This includes agreeing realistic payment options, help on maximising your income and information about benefits. You may also be eligible for financial assistance from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). If so, we can help you apply. The DWP need to be contacted within 30 days of the date of your invoice. This means that you should contact the debt and welfare advisor within 14 days of the date of your invoice, to make sure that we have enough time to help you with your application. Additionally, debt advice and counselling can be provided and arrangements can be agreed to make payment by instalments.

  • Financial Capability Coaching Service, DABD Benefits Advice Team, 51 Ripple Road, Barking, IG11 7NT. Service funded by East London Renewal Partnership for free confidential assistance for vulnerable residents to improve their homes. Advice on income maximisation and benefits. Home visits are available by appointment.
