Workers, tradespersons or operatives may look the
part and be either male or female, but beware of bogus
workers.
We regularly receive reports of bogus workers trying to gain entry
to residents' homes. When a operative calls at your property, make
sure that you see proof of their identity before you let them in.
All Newham Homes' staff and contractors who are employed to work on
our behalf carry identity cards which are to be produced upon
request.
With the exception of emergency situations, all visits are made by
appointment only. If you are in ANY doubt, do not let the person in
until you are satisfied who they are. If you suspect that you have
been visited by a bogus worker you should immediately notify the
Police on
999.
