Gas Servicing is carried out by CPM on behalf of M&E Gas Team.

• Carbon Monoxide leaking from a poorly installed or maintained gas appliance or flue kills around 30 people every year.
• As a caring landlord and parents ourselves we want to protect you from the dangers of gas related problems by carrying an annual safety check.
• The Gas Safety Regulations 1998 specify that it is the duty of the landlord to ensure that their appliances and flues are safe to use.
• The work must be carried out by a competent person who is registered with GAS SAFE (Registered Gas Installers).
• It is illegal for any other person to carry out this work.
• A record of the visit will be sent to each resident.
• The Newham Homes will also maintain such records for a minimum of two years.
• Each new tenant taking up residency should be issued with a new certificate, not only will these safety checks give you peace of mind but when serviced the efficiency of the appliance will be improved therefore saving energy and money.
