Resident Involvement

The Resident Involvement Team encourages and supports tenants and leaseholders of Newham Homes to become actively involved in housing-related issues, giving them a direct say in the way their homes, estates or neighbourhoods are managed and improved.

We aim to involve both council tenants and council leaseholders in making decisions and monitoring services to ensure continuous improvement.
To do this we facilitate meetings about setting up Tenants' and Residents' Associations, and run courses to empower tenants with public speaking and meeting skills. We also support Tenant Liaison Committees.

The objective of the Resident Involvement Team is to provide a range of accessible and inclusive opportunities to empower residents to influence services.

Newham has a diverse population and we wish to engage as many of our communities as possible. By overcoming any barriers that prevent our tenants and leaseholders from becoming involved, we try to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to give their views.

Involvement gives you the opportunity to have a direct say in the way your home, estate, or neighbourhood is managed and improved. It also gives you the opportunity to have input into the development of future Newham Homes and Council policies.

If you would like further information on events being planned or ways of getting involved, please give the Resident Involvement Team a call on: 020 3373 8746.
