How to report a repair

right to repair scheme

The Government's Right to Repair regulations set out a list of repairs that must be completed within specified time limits.
These repairs are known as 'qualifying repairs'.

The scheme aims to get urgent minor repairs that might affect residents' health completed quickly. Examples of qualifying repairs include:
  • Blocked sinks
  • Loss of heating
  • Door-entry phones not working

If we fail to carry out a qualifying repair within the times set out under the Right to Repair scheme, you are entitled to claim compensation.

You can find full details of the scheme and the full list of qualifying repairs in your Repairs Handbook.
